What happens when a flooring brand wants B2B explainer videos, but the available footage was shot for a completely different purpose? That was the starting point for Quickstep's Impressive collection. The original plan was to repurpose content from Flanders Flooring Days into B2B communication. But the story those images told did not match the story that needed to be told. We advised Quickstep to reshoot most of the script with new, purpose-built footage that would properly support the narrative. They trusted our judgement, and the result speaks for itself: the strongest B2B explainer videos they have ever produced.

The Challenge

Quickstep needed B2B explainer videos for their Impressive collection. The initial idea was straightforward: take existing footage shot during Flanders Flooring Days and cut it into explainer content for their B2B audience. The problem was that the original material was captured with a completely different goal and tone in mind. Repurposing it would have meant forcing square pegs into round holes, resulting in videos that felt disconnected from the message.

Our Approach

Rather than working around the limitations of the existing footage, we advised a different path. We recommended reshooting the majority of the script so that every shot would be purpose-built to support the B2B narrative. This meant new setups, new angles, and imagery designed from the ground up to match what was being communicated.

Quickstep followed our advice, and we delivered a production that aligned visually and narratively with their goals:

Purpose-built cinematography: designed to support each point of the B2B script

Strategic reshooting: to replace footage that did not fit the new context

Professional grading and editing: to ensure a polished, cohesive result

Efficient production: that maximised quality without unnecessary overhead

The Result

By choosing to reshoot rather than compromise, Quickstep ended up with B2B explainer videos that far exceeded expectations. Their own team called them the best B2B communication videos the brand had ever produced. The lesson: when the goal changes, the images need to change with it.
